Fire Kills Animals on Redell and Pamela Road in Monrovia

Fire Consumes this garage at a home on the corner of Redell and Pamela in an unincorporated part of Monrovia on Friday afternoon. One Los Angeles County firefighter was hit with falling debris from the roof of the garage when he was attempting to put the fire out. No other injuries were reported.

Los Angeles County Fire and Monrovia Fire Dept., were dispatched at 13.22 on Friday afternoon to a fully involved, dramatic garage fire which took the lives of several animals in the residence. The fire consumed an older model truck and flames were 40-50 feet high at one point. The fire was knocked down in fifteen minutes from the initial call. Heavy smoke and fire damaged part of the main structure. No estimates of damage have yet been determined. No people were injured in the fire.
