Alaska the bloodhound gets a scent along the wash in Duarte - Photo by Terry Miller
A man in his 50′s was shot in the stomach Thursday morning in Duarte.
The shot gun shooting took place around 6:45am on Highland Avenue in Duarte just north of the 210 Freeway. The man was transported to Huntington Memorial Trauma unit.

A wide area had been contained by Temple Sheriff’s deputies and a bloodhound has been brought in to search for possible suspects or persons of interest.
There was a stolen car involved allegedly and the bloodhound was given samples from that car and the dog followed the scent to the wash at approximately 11am.

There is a possibility it is gang related however nothing is confirmed at this time
