Job Workshop Today at Duarte Community Center

Learn how to job hunt using the Internet, tailor your resume for websites, and other tips necessary for navigating today’s challenging job market at a workshop, Tuesday, Oct. 27 at the Duarte Community Center, 1600 Huntington Dr. The day-long workshop hosted by the City of Duarte in partnership with the Foothill Workforce Investment Board and the Employment Development Department, will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The workshop will offer training in employability skills including help in resume preparation and interviewing techniques. The program will also include help with job finding strategy, tips on body language and conquering negative thoughts, stress management, and a motivational short film. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Participants must attend the entire day’s program in order to receive a certificate of completion.
