The Arcadia City Council approved all items on the consent calendar Tuesday night, including the approval of spending on some larger projects.
American Asphalt South Inc. was approved for a $374,376.50 contract for the 2007-2008 annual slurry seal project, which is part of an ongoing eight year program that was updated in 1999 to efficiently prolong the life of streets that are in good condition.
Of eight bids, American Asphalt South Inc. came in the cheapest and Mayor Segal was unsure how much the city spent previously on the slurry seal project.
