Rev. Huffery Passes Away

Rev. Huffey, a 50 year resident of Monrovia, CA, died at home peacefully on Feb. 25, 2008 at age 92. Huffey pastored the First Assembly of God Church in Monrovia for 20 years before retiring to establish a program to bring churches to America’s inner cities. Vinton and his wife Lillian pastored churches in Iowa before moving to California in 1958. He is survived by four children, Naomi Applegate, Rhoda Huffey, Stephen Huffey, and Debbi Huffey, and by three grandchildren, Eric, Christopher, and Jeremy. Services will be Saturday, March 1, at 11am at Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, 23 East Foothill Blvd., Arcadia (west of Santa Anita).
